Our Mission
The Bay Area Blanket Project aims to provide comfort for survivors of intimate partner abuse and people experiencing homelessness, create safe networks of support for shelter clients, and educate our community about signs of intimate partner abuse and legal systems in place to combat it.
What We Do
Donate Handmade Blankets
The Bay Area Blanket Project makes blankets and hats which we donate to survivors of intimate partner abuse and unhoused individuals in shelters.
School Club
We are a Castilleja School-affiliated club. We teach members how to crochet, knit, and sew blankets, and invite CORA speakers and legal figures to educate the community about signs of domestic violence and legal systems combating it.
DIY Workshops at Shelters
We hold DIY crafting workshops with families in shelters. These workshops aim to create networks of support for shelter clients, allow families to spend time doing fun activities together, and strengthen community bonds.
